Rosalie Minkin, Executive Director
I am Rosalie Minkin, TEP, MSW, ATR-BC, LCAT. I have been a TEP (Trainer, Educator and Practitioner of psychodrama, group psychotherapy and sociometry) since 1976. I am a Fellow of the American Society of Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama and served on the American Board of Examiners in Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy. Over the years I have published articles focusing on the value of sociodrama. The articles appear in: The British Journal of Psychodrama and Sociodrama, 2001; Children Today — Linking the Generations; and Who’s in Your Shoes, Garcia and Sternberg. Soon to be released DVD, with accompanying manual, will illustrate a sociodrama session, provide theory and practice.
For the past 32 years I have focused my work in the area of sociodrama. I have created sociodrama programs at drug treatment centers, hospitals, community organizations including Big Brothers and Big Sisters; The University of Kentucky Department of Health and in a variety of public and private settings. I have worked with an assortment of groups ranging from corporate lawyers, first time youth offenders, drug addictive teenagers. I created seveal sociodrama groups including an intergenerational troupe called FULL CIRCLE and a teen group THE CHOICE CONNECTION. I have experienced sociodrama as a means of enhancing self esteem, improve interpersonal skills, educate and challenge educational systems.
Lives have been changed as Sociodrama continues to assist groups, and individual members, to alter the quality of personal and social life experiences.
